INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE
STEAMFORGED GAMES LTD.
Steamforged Games are a Manchester based company that create elaborate and highly popular tabletop games. I have been working with them part-time since November 2018 as a design/developer for upcoming board games and have made trips down to Manchester to work in the office.
My knowledge with interactive design has been really helpful when working with Steamforged since a great deal of the design development stage for their games is considering how gameplay elements can affect a player/player base. How well mechanics can be translated to players through iconography or tangible gameplay elements. I have been responsible for a great deal of game creation and testing for titles such as Dark Souls & Horizon Zero Dawn the Board Game.
JORVTEGA MARINE: BUSINESS CARD
Creation of a Company Logo and Business cards in keeping with its business focus, namely the provision of expert innovative, strategic and technical advice relating to improving the energy efficiency of ships and the shipping industry.
UBISOFT: GAMEÂ TESTER
I have taken many opportunities to work as a game tester for Ubisoft at their Newcastle Office, testing titles that have yet to be released. This work involves a great deal of confidentiality and requires testers to be in depth into their analysis of the product in question, being hyperspecfic when it comes to writing about faults found or making recommendations to improve aspects of a game. How it can affect a players enjoyment/ consumption of the game, what can be done to fix a fault is found and so on.
Many recommendations I have made have been acknowledged by the game developers and seemingly changed to improve the final product, subsequently, I have been repeatedly requested to come back to the studios for further work.
SILVERSTREAM TECHNOLOGIES LTD
Assisted with the development of the Company's new design brochure aimed at relaying the innovative nature of their industry leading air lubrication technology that delivers unparalleled energy efficiency improvements to the shipping industry. Works entailed operating from their London Offices and integrating the design of their new brochure with a broader re-branding being conducted by their PR consultants Blue Communications
VPRESS DESIGNS
VPress are a global provider of personalisation solutions and web2print services. I was requested to do some Freelance graphic design work for them before an important conference. My job was to design floor standing posters and a large booth hoarding (3M x1M) for their booth at the exhibition. Requiring redesigning of certain elements, and following their specifications for the layout. Since then I have been requested to do further work such as website editing and creating infographics.
LONDON WORK EXPERIENCE
Back in July of 2015 I traveled down to London to work for a few companies to gain work experience.

I teamed up with several companies while in London, working with large scale departments in various places across the city. Work ranging from Graphics, Advertising, Marketing, Editing, Video Production and much more.
I enjoyed my time immensely and felt proud of the work I had done such as my project relating to Shell's Eco-Marathon, a worldwide energy efficiency competition sponsored by Shell. Participants are challenged to build automotive vehicles that can complete a series of races while trying to achieve the highest possible fuel efficiency. I designed a ticket for a Summer Party that is hosted by Fishburn Hedges in Kings Park each year, basing it around a pre-existing poster.
My time in London also granted my contacts with other London based companies/firms. One such example would be Silverstream Technologies or Vpress who still contact me for freelance work now.
This also resulted in subsequent visits to travel down and gain further experience in later years.
